Make My Monster Grow!
The evil space witch Delilah Disgusta has been fuming in her Moon Palace after countless defeats at the hands of the Mega Defenders. Take the role of her newest monster, claim soul gems to grow in power and size until you are strong enough to take on Earth's defenders and their mighty transforming Megasaurous bots!
This is an entry for the GMTK 2024 jam. To go with the theme of "Built to scale" I decided to go for a game where the player character increases in size. Making the character a monster made sense after that, which reminded me of a certain old show I used to watch in the 90's...
So I ended up making it into a Power Ranger parody - please don't sue me!

Known issues:
- Background music glitches out, especially in the first level
- Swipe cooldown indicator isn't fully synced yet
Controls:
WASD or arrow keys on keyboard, dpad or left stick on gamepad to move around.
Assets used:
Pixel art was all done by me using Aseprite
Font is Pixel Operator by Jayvee Enaguas
Music was also done by me (sorry) using Bosca Ceoil
Sound effects were downloaded from jsfx
Branno's tutorial on making a Vampire Survivor clone in Godot was also extremely helpful

is it possible to beat the robot at the end? i run around the whole map but he still cornered and killed me
At the moment it's intentionally not possible. If you actually do beat the robot, there's no ending, and you just get stuck in the final area forever. That's something I want to change once the game jam is over, and I can spend some time on adding new stuff (like an actual ending :P).
